Beauregard the goose was a fierce protector of he mate while she set her eggs. He chased anyone who got too close.
I went with one of my grandson's to Partridge Plantation in Irvington for a kindergarten field trip. This mama goose was setting her eggs right next to the barn door. She was completely unphased by all the little visitors. That could be because she had a bodyguard.
